I understand that WP is not a CMS, although it is no excuse not to easily provide its users with the ability to display the nested pages that it so profusely helps you design.

A simple feature like that - and I need plugins, widgets and to modify EACH theme and template that I want to implement a nested page display on. Quite poor.
